Patient

  1. Show this page to the MRI-technician. Note that you need a SPECIAL CT scan. The scanning mode must provide the necessary information without distortion for calculating the treatment of tremor with focused ultrasound!
  2. Create a folder on the desktop and copy all the contents of the disk containing the CT scan results into it.
  3. Then the folder should be archived (compressed) using an archiver zip или 7- zip and send it to us by email at mri.imcb@gmail.com or through a file-sharing service like Mail.ru Cloud, Yandex Disk or Google Drive

Healthcare Professional

Compatible CT Machines

For performing MRI-guided focused ultrasound surgery on a neurosurgical platform ExAblate Neuro 4000 CT and MRI image fusion is required. For this, the CT of the cranial bones must be performed exclusively on compatible CT equipment.

  • General Electric (all models): BONEPLUS
  • Toshiba (all models): FC30
  • Siemens (Somatom Sensation, Siemens Somatom Emotion, Siemens Somatom Scope, Siemens Definition AS): H60s or H60f

CT Protocol

DO NOT APPLY any enhancement filters on CT images if they are intended for use in neurosurgical MRgFUS procedures (MRI-guideded focused ultrasound ablation)
A strong request not to apply the extended filter UEO, all images in FC30 RAW (any models), as well as other enhancing filters for CT (smoothing, noise reduction, and similar).

Gantry CT: there should be no tilt

Slice thickness: between 0.5 and 1.25 mm. The same slice thickness across the entire scanning area (in one slab)
Uniform distance between slice thicknesses: 0 mm
Permission : 512×512
Contrast : No
Coverage : Complete
The scanning program MUST cover the entire skull (not limited to the target area). Please ensure that the top slice is above the skull (in the air) and the bottom slice reaches the base of the skull.
Orientation : It is advisable to align axial CT images along the plane AC-PC and perpendicular to the midline.
