Without the slightest doubt, we decided to associate our Center with the name of Vyacheslav Stepanovich Buzaev because, back in the late eighties, he transitioned our Republic from open-heart surgery to minimally invasive procedures by treating the heart through a vessel puncture. He was the founder of the interventional radiology school in our Republic and introduced coronary angiography and many other endovascular operations for children and adults. Vyacheslav Stepanovich was a great humanist and imparted to us his ideas about change, patient priority, painless treatment, humanity, honor, continuous development, the successes of the Motherland, approaches to nurturing future generations of doctors
