MRI coils – the same as camera lenses. They help focus MRI energy into clear images when examining patients. However, no two patients are alike, and the traditional coil design may sometimes functionally outperform at the expense of patient comfort. Lack of comfort can lead to patient movement, which may cause poor image quality and, consequently, additional time spent on repeat examinations.
Technology Geometry Embracing Method (GEM) Suite designed specifically to provide a new level of comfort for patients, minimizing anxiety and movement during examinations. The “embracing” design of flexible coils allows for scanning in a relaxed setting for the patient. Thanks to these changes, all examinations can now be conducted comfortably, with the patient positioned feet-first into the tunnel using lightweight flexible coils and a completely new table cover that evenly distributes pressure.
