Eliminating Skull Limitations for Treating Tremor with Ultrasound

22.05.2025/by Guzaliya Sakharova

In the latest issue of the research journal “FOCUS Endocrinology” (elpub), our research article was published about our method of preparing for ultrasound treatment for patients with tremor or Parkinson’s disease who have poor ultrasound conductivity of the skull bones (low scull score or scull density ratio) interferes with treatment

Conducting research, we are moving towards being able to treat those who were previously denied treatment for tremor.

How can we help you manage tremor?

Tremor is a condition in which the hands, head, or other parts of the body begin to shake involuntarily . It can interfere with your daily activities: holding a cup, writing, or even just feeling confident. But we have good news — modern technologies allow us to manage tremor without surgery and pain. Moreover, we have developed a unique preparation method that makes treatment accessible even for those who previously thought it impossible.

What is focused ultrasound?

Focused ultrasound — this is an innovative treatment method that helps people with tremor, Parkinson’s disease, and other central nervous system disorders. The procedure is performed under MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) guidance, which allows precise targeting of ultrasound waves to the required area of the brain. It is a non-invasive method, meaning no incisions or surgical intervention.

What limits treatment?

One of the issues that may hinder the use of focused ultrasound is the low conductivity of the skull bones. This is related to the condition of the bone tissue, which may be too dense, thick, or heterogeneous. Previously, such patients were considered unsuitable for this method, but we have found a solution!

Our Unique Training Method

In our medical center, we have developed and implemented a unique approach to preparing patients with low ultrasound conductivity of the skull bones. This is our know-how, based on scientific research and years of experience. Here’s how we do it:

Accurate Diagnosis:
We assess the condition of your bones using modern methods such as CT or MRI, and analyze the levels of vitamins and minerals in the body. This data helps us understand how to better prepare you for treatment.

Individual Medication Preparation:
If a vitamin deficiency is detected D or other substances, we prescribe medications that strengthen bones. For example, bisphosphonates like alendronate help increase bone density, making it more conducive to ultrasound.

Research Approach:
Our preparation method is based on the results of our own research, which we conduct in collaboration with leading research institutes, such as Lomonosov Moscow State University. We not only treat but also constantly seek new and more effective ways to help our patients.

Team of Professionals:
Our team includes endocrinologists, neurologists, and radiologists who work together to prepare you for treatment and make it as effective as possible.

Thanks to our preparation method, focused ultrasound becomes accessible even for those patients who previously had limitations due to the condition of their skull bones. After treatment, you will be able to return to your usual life, enjoying freedom of movement and control over your body.

We are ready to help you!

If tremor prevents you from living a full life, don’t delay in addressing this issue. Our center is not only a place where you are treated but also where new methods are developed to help you. We know how to prepare you for treatment and achieve the best results. Contact us, and we will walk the path from diagnosis to successful treatment together. We are here to restore your confidence and freedom of movement!
