15 November 2024 became for the internship laureate at the Buzaev Clinic and clinical resident of the department “General Surgery, Transplantology, and Radiological Diagnostics ” Bashkir State Medical University Margarita Salikhova faced a real challenge, which she successfully overcame. On this day, the Conference of Neurosurgeons of the Volga Federal District took place, where Margarita made her debut as a speaker.
Less than a year ago, Margarita was sitting in a lecture hall, listening to experienced instructors, and she had no idea that in such a short time she would be standing before the same people, now as an expert.

Margarita spoke about her anxiety before stepping onto the podium:
Waiting for my turn to speak, I thought: ‘God, what new can I tell such professionals?’
However, her presentation sparked interest, and even experienced professionals asked her questions about the report. This was a signal that she had truly managed to bring something new.
I feel incredible pride for this achievement, says Margarita. I overcame the fear of public speaking and did it for myself!
The theme of Margarita’s presentation was dedicated to multiparametric MRI as a standard for preoperative examination of patients with brain tumors. Her contribution eased the routine of neurosurgeons by providing them with guidelines for diagnosing patients.
