MRI-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) can be used to treat the following conditions:

• how tremor and stiffness in Parkinson’s disease
• essential tremor,
• involuntary movements in tardive, cervical, segmental dystonias
• neuropathic pain
• gelastic seizures (involuntary laughter and uncontrollable crying) with hypothalamic hamartoma
• obsessive-compulsive disorder and depression

The treatment of some of the listed diseases is conducted as part of research studies in collaboration with the Scientific Center of Neurology (Moscow), Bashkir State Medical University, and Lomonosov Moscow State University.
