Visit of the Laboratory of Medical and Industrial Ultrasound of Lomonosov Moscow State University to the first medical center of ultrasonic neurosurgery in Russia

With great joy and enthusiasm, we announce that on June 25-26, 2024, our Center was visited by esteemed guests from Lomonosov Moscow State University — staff members Alisa Alexandrovna Krochmal and Ekaterina Maksimovna Ponomarchuk, as well as PhD student Darya Dmitrievna Chupova

This visit became a real event for our team , because we are proud to be pioneers in Russia, using high-intensity focused ultrasound since 2020 HIFU) for non-invasive transcranial impact on brain areas. The progressive treatment methods we use are aimed at combating complex diseases such as essential tremor, Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, dyskinesia, and other movement disorders

MRI-guided focused ultrasound allows for effective and gentle treatment of patients without incisions and pain, which is a true breakthrough in medicine. The method, developed by the company Insightec, approved in Europe and the USA, and now in Russia. To date, about 5000 patients worldwide have been successfully treated with it

Our guests from MSU had a unique opportunity to observe this innovative treatment method in action and discuss with our doctors current medical issues that require new solutions.

We thank our colleagues from Lomonosov Moscow State University for their visit, engaging conversation, and desire to jointly develop medical research.
