06.09.2022/by Aleksej Savelev

Presentation of the V.S. Buzaev International Medical Centre

An online conference was held at the V.S. Buzaev International Medical Centre on the topic “Cooperation between Ufa and Minsk in the development of medical tourism. Presentation of the V.S. Buzaev International Medical Centre.” From Ufa, the video conference was attended by Deputy Head of the Ufa City Administration Damir Fayazovich Galiullin, Head of the Intelligent Neurosurgery Clinic Rezida Maratovna Galimova, and Chief Freelance Neurosurgeon of the Republic of Bashkortostan Shamil Makhmutovich Safin. Minsk was represented by the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Belarus, the head, and leading staff of the “Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Neurology and Neurosurgery.” During the meeting, Rezida Galimova spoke about the center’s capabilities, demonstrating clinical examples of using MRI-guided focused ultrasound to eliminate tremor and spasticity in patients with dystonia, essential tremor, and Parkinson’s disease. The results of operations in treating tremor and various dystonias were announced, and complications and recurrences were analyzed. In turn, colleagues from the “Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Neurology and Neurosurgery” shared their experience in treating extrapyramidal disorders. The outcome of the meeting: a wish was expressed for the need for cooperation between specialists from Ufa and Minsk in treating patients with movement disorders.
