We have created an opportunity for you to be with your loved one and support them exactly when it is most needed – during surgery for tremor or Parkinson’s disease
V.S. Buzaev International Medical Centre — it’s not just a medical center. It’s a place where patients and their families become participants in the treatment process for Parkinson’s disease, tremor, dystonia, or neuropathic pain, providing maximum understanding and support during such important moments. We believe that openness and involvement are the keys to successful treatment.
In our center, we offer a unique concept of an open operating room, which allows patients and their relatives to be part of the process.
Our Goal — create favorable conditions and maximum support for patients with Parkinson’s disease, tremor, dystonia, or other conditions during treatment with MRI-guided focused ultrasound
The patient is told in which cases to press the procedure stop button. However, lying alone in ignorance and focusing on sensations does not promote relaxation and only heightens the senses.
We understand this and therefore allow relatives to be with the patient at this important moment. This way, the patient doesn’t notice how time passes, and the procedure is already completed.

The patient is informed about when to press the procedure stop button. However, lying alone in ignorance and focusing on one’s sensations does not promote relaxation and only heightens the senses. We understand this, and therefore we allow relatives to be with the patient at this important moment. This way, the patient doesn’t notice how time passes, and the procedure is already completed.
The MRgFUS procedure is unique in that during the treatment, the patient is in the MRI room, while the neurosurgeon and neurologist are in the control room at the device console.
During the MRgFUS procedure, constant contact with the patient is necessary. For this, there is a window into the room with the patient, and according to the equipment instructions, the patient is given an emergency stop button and instructed on when to press it to stop the focused ultrasound treatment.
When the team leaves the MRI room to perform calculations and conduct treatment, in other centers, the patient is left alone with their sensations in the noisy MRI room.
We are the first in the world to implement the concept of an open MRgFUS operating room, so that every patient feels safe and can communicate with the team throughout the procedure. This allows for better results and reduces the risk of complications.
As a doctor, I was used to rushing into the ICU with my coat trailing behind me, overseeing every detail of my patient’s treatment to ensure nothing was missed. But one day, I brought a loved one to another hospital, and the ICU doors closed in front of me. I knew there were good doctors there and I trusted them, but I remember that feeling of helplessness and uncertainty. I decided that in our center, the patient’s relatives would not experience the same feelings.

According to our rules, with the patient’s consent, the patient’s relatives can:
Due to the absence of incisions in our method, treatment does not require sterile conditions, and relatives can be present with the patient. Our highly qualified team undergoes thorough training, ensuring the safety of the approach. We have never encountered any interference. Relatives are very interested in quality, results, and safety, so they always behave appropriately.
The path to innovative treatment methods is paved not only through technology but also through changing the approach to the patient. V.S. Buzaev International Medical Centre places the patient at the center of attention, allowing them and their loved ones to actively participate in the process, creating an atmosphere of trust and support.
In the V.S. Buzaev International Medical Centre, we strive to ensure that every patient and their relatives feel safe and comfortable.
